Beauty

To me, beauty is not something that can be defined. It is something that can be seen, heard, felt, or experienced. But not defined. It can occur anywhere. Anything can be beautiful.

Artistic/Commercial

My Magazine Cover. I think this photo is commercial because it clearly shows the brand "Reckless" displayed on his hat, making it seem like that brand is being marketed.

Artistic Portrait. I think this photo is artistic being that it is capturing the subject without an "agenda", so to speak. It is him in his natural form.

Assignment 7

Environmental Portrait: this is a picture of my brother doing what he loves-boxing

Classic Portrait: this is a picture of a random Portlander at the Farmers Market.

Classic Portrait/Artistic:  This is a picture of my friend Torben, just looking awesome.

Commercial: This is Itay, a picture of him on top of a parking garage. I tried to market the company that made his hat, "Young and Reckless" in this one.

Assignment 6

This is my tilt-shift photo, it is a picture of the eiffel tower that was edited so that it almost looks like a miniature model, which is basically what tilt shift photography is.

This is just a second version of the same picture, editing using different tilt shift methods.

This is my daguerreotype, which is "a photograph taken by an early process employing an iodine-sensitized silvered plate and mercury vapor" (Google). Modern versions of daguerreotype aim to replicate this old fashioned photographic style.

Back lighting. A picture of my friend Torben

Front lighting. A snowboarder in Colorado

This panorama was taken in downtown Portland at the Pioneer Courthouse Square. This is compromised of 20 photos, making a relatively large image.

This HDR was taken outside of my house at night, and is made up of 3 pictures. I especially like this photo because both the foreground (the basketball hoop) and the background (the trees/sky) are exposed well.

This multiple exposure was taken in the Lincoln hallways, it is a picture of someone sliding down the railing of the stairs.

Symmetry/Iptychs
I like this diptych because it uses both symmetry and asymmetry, and the colors form a sort of unity between the two photos.

This is a photo of two of my classmates in class. Uses asymmetry. Tryptich
